Holiday cottage Samar

In the North of the village, close to dunes and woodlands, you will find the beautiful, historical alley Langestreek om de Noord. In this alley, hidden from view by a large sunny garden, lies our cosy cottage Samar. Samar is a detached house with an extension (former workshop of the well-known Schiermonnikoog artist Minne Onnes).

The house was built early nineteenth century, but completely rebuilt, with preservation of atmosphere and authenticity, in 2007. During the summer the large sunny garden is a wonderful spot to have a barbeque under the shadow of a large tree, sunbathe on the terrace in the back of the garden or enjoy drinks in the nice pavilion. It is a garden where you will enjoy full privacy. Samar is not only a cosy place but also a house provided with all luxuries and conveniences. The living room has a fire place (gas), a large LCD TV, DVD player and audio set. There is extensive selection of DVDs, games, books and magazines and wireless internet is available. The old beamed ceiling, fire place, paintings and decoration make the living room a lovely place to be. The kitchen is provided with all appliances like a dishwasher, oven and microwave.

The scullery holds a washing machine and dryer. The bathroom has a floor heating, walk-in shower, hanging toilet and sink.

There are three bedrooms under the wooden rafters on the first floor. One bedroom has a double and a single bed, a sink and large build-in wardrobe. The second bedroom has two single beds and a build-in closet. The third bedroom has one single bed. In the back yard there is a shed for bikes, toys and suitcases.
